In the first quarter of 2026, the corridor for oversized cargo transportation between China and Kyrgyzstan was optimized. The volume of transportation of wind turbine blades, tower sections, transformers, construction equipment and other large cargo increased by 100% year-on-year. The transport departments of China and Kyrgyzstan jointly identified specialized routes, strengthened bridges, widened turns, removed obstacles, ensuring the safe passage of cargo of extra-long length (up to 50 m), width (up to 5 m), height (up to 4.5 m) and extra-heavy weight (up to 100 tons). At border crossings there are special inspection areas for oversized cargo with pre-registration and inspection upon arrival without long waits. Transportation of oversized cargo is carried out according to the model “escort vehicles + real-time monitoring + emergency support” with full tracking to guarantee safety. Deepening Chinese-Kyrgyz cooperation on new energy sources is receiving key logistics support for wind and solar energy projects.
