On May 31, 2026, the Chinese-Kazakh Lianyungang logistics base sent more than 500 wagons for the first time within one month on the China-Kyrgyzstan-Uzbekistan route in the “railway + road” format. The trains are loaded with auto parts, tires and other export goods. The base has introduced an innovative “single container to the end” scheme, integrating railway and road resources: the train goes to Kashgar, then the containers are loaded onto vehicles and sent straight to Tashkent through the Irkeshtam border crossing. This allows you to relieve the shortage of carrying capacity of the purely railway shoulder, reduce the waiting time for transshipment and reduce costs by $300 per container. In 2025, the base dispatched 610 trains on the China-Europe and China-Central Asia routes, with an average of 2-3 trains per day, becoming a key hub of the New Eurasian Land-Sea Transport Corridor and promoting the high-quality development of the Belt and Road Initiative.
