Regular refrigerated TIR transportation between China and Kazakhstan: fresh cut flowers from Yunnan are delivered to Moscow in 15 days

In April 2026, freshly cut flowers from Yunnan province were sent by TIR road transport from Kunming through Kazakhstan directly to Moscow. The entire journey took 15 days, the time frame was reduced by 30%, and costs were reduced by 20%. Kunming Post and Customs Service, together with commercial departments, has implemented the "TIR + foreign trade market procurement" model of one-time inspection, sealing and release, which avoids repeated inspections, congestion and related losses.
Export flowers undergo a full cycle of procedures - inspection, sealing, registration and release - at the New Luo Shiwan Inspection Center in Kunming within half a working day thanks to the open "green corridor". Refrigerated TIR transportation is ideal for urgent and valuable perishable goods, contributing to the expansion of sales of “Yunnan flowers” in the markets of Russia and Central Asia. In the first quarter of 2026, exports of fresh-cut flowers from Yunnan to Russia increased by 40% year-on-year.
